Preservation Grant Program
Purpose
This program provides up to $500 per year for the preservation of one-room and two-room buildings once used as country schools. The maximum award to any one applicant is $500 per year.

Project standards
Projects in the historic preservation category should demonstrate knowledge of, and ability to adhere to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation, and the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation and Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings. Copies of these standards and guidelines can be found at www.cr.nps.gov/linklaws.htm . Projects in the museum or documentary collections categories that propose work on real property are encouraged to adhere to these standards and guidelines.
