Dear Readers, We Haven't Forgotten You ...Been a bit busy this past month preparing for the upcoming 2026 CSAA County School Conference in Geneva, New York! I've been working on a presentation about schoolhouse privies and it's been an absolute HOOT. I began the project with a few things in mind and when I started unpacking the particulars, down the rabbit hole I went! So many unexpected twists and turns. When the conference is over I'll share some terrific information with you, but for now I'll post one of my handouts to pique your interest in our country school outhouses. If you're lucky enough to have one on your schoolhouse property you know what a curiosity they are for our young visitors. Those country school kids and their teachers sure were a hardy bunch! Freezing cold seats came up regularly as something to be reckoned with...along with Sears Catalogs. As I said...stay tuned!
